Peak Body & Soul is an exclusive and professional psychology clinic uniquely focused on athletes and individuals in pursuit of PEAK performance and wellbeing.
We recognise that regardless of whether you are an inner athlete or high performer, everyone is striving to discover their peak. Functioning at your best, when it counts involves skilful alignment to your experience by engaging in meaningful action, connecting us to the moment.
It is PEAK’s mission to understand the experience of the athlete (individual) and prioritise and embed applicable psychological skills emerging from the intersection between ‘The Performance Continuum’ and the synergy of ‘Body and Soul Wellbeing’.

Rachel completed her training in Clinical Psychology at the University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ) and has worked as a Clinical Psychologist in the public mental health service for over 20 years, and more recently in private practice.
Driving Concepts
When we overlap the below two concepts we arrive at the intersection between performance and wellbeing.
This is why each individual journey is unique and approaches and skills are required to be tailored to enhance what’s present and build on what’s missing.

Inner Athlete – An individual who deliberately moves their body to match their unique physical capabilities.
Aim: Training consistency, progression, and dedication.
Motivation: Self-improvement, strength, health – contributing to total athlete wellbeing.
Competitive Athlete – An individual who deliberately trains in one or more sport disciplines and is coached. Engagement in regular practice and a defined ‘season’ of competition is typical.
Aim: Continuous improvement in chosen activity and representative selection.
Motivation: Skill acquisition and enhancement in the pursuit of mastery requiring significant devotion.
High Performance Athlete – An individual who has developed their physical endurance, strength and speed to support performance consistent with the highest level of competition in their particular sport.
Aim: Consistent performance at a supreme level specific to individual qualities utilising a growth mindset.
Motivation: Flawless execution of performance equivalent of a champion.
Athlete Restoration – An individual who requires opportunity to rehabilitate physically and mentally, in the context of movement and activity.
Aim: Return to optimal athletic functioning.
Motivation: Provide opportunity to heal and restore balance to the individual’s body & soul.

Acknowledging that wellbeing is multifaceted and can be impacted by various external circumstances (Body) or our own internal experience (Soul) provides opportunity to consider the importance balance and synergy play within our lives.
At Peak we work to adopt a flexible approach and accept movement along the continuum is inevitable and required at times, we will intentionally work with you to make change is areas that are out of balance.
We know synergy in wellbeing is achieved when all individual parts that encompass holistic wellbeing are working in unity together to produce a greater performance output than that possible by themselves – we call this Peak Wellbeing.
